How to play and game rules
- Fill every row, column and 3×3 box with the digits 1–9 without repeats. Every generated board has a unique solution.
- Tap a cell or use Tab to enter the board and arrow keys to move. Type 1–9; Backspace, Delete or 0 erase a cell. Home and End move to the ends of the row.
- Turn on Notes (N) to toggle candidates. Undo restores numbers and notes; up to 200 undo steps are retained. Reset restores the clues and keeps the timer.
- Repeats in rows, columns and boxes are rejected. A conflict-free number can still be a wrong deduction: the solution is checked only when the grid is complete.
- The timer measures real elapsed time since the game was created, including while the tab is closed, and freezes when the game ends. Showing the solution records a final loss.
- Easy, medium and hard describe target clue counts: 42, 34 and 28. More clues may be retained to guarantee uniqueness; these are not ratings of human solving techniques. Daily puzzles always use medium.
- Daily: one scored game per UTC date, changing at 00:00 UTC (19:00 in Panama). Unfinished games expire at the next challenge; finished games cannot be restarted.
- Unlimited games keep separate statistics. Only finished games count. Changing language preserves progress. Results are saved in this browser and domain; clearing site data removes them.
Shared results never include answers. This static game cannot prevent inspection of solutions or changes to local data.
