How to play and game rules
- Slide all tiles in one direction. Equal tiles merge only once per move; their combined value is added to your score. Each valid move spawns a 2 or 4 tile.
- Reaching 2048 records a win and ends the game. Having no legal moves records a loss. Undo retains up to 50 steps while the game is unfinished, including the score and future tile spawns.
- Click or Tab into the board and use arrows or WASD. On mobile, swipe within the board or use the four direction buttons. Scroll the page outside the board.
- The daily game shares its initial seed and random sequence; your decisions determine how the board evolves. It does not guarantee that every strategy reaches 2048.
- Daily: one scored game per UTC date, changing at 00:00 UTC (19:00 in Panama). Unfinished games expire at the next challenge and finished games cannot be restarted.
- Unlimited games keep separate statistics. Only finished games count. Changing language preserves progress. Data stays in this browser and domain; clearing site data removes your history.
